Digital Sustainability and the production of carbon conscious platforms was finally being discussed and we spoke with a number of software and creative agencies about the work they’re doing to reduce their digital footprints. Focus ranged from marketing through to complex data driven platforms and the large scale measuring of energy consumption of servers with the TailPipe team.
Our friends at Optimo were also exhibiting their platform for streamlining business processes and driving efficiencies which is just music to our ears.
Ai was obviously a well covered subject and it was a welcomed change of tone and positive take on sustainability and the good it can achieve outweighs the negative side. We believe the general consumer use of ai can still be wasteful but the commercial and scalable acceleration of real world impact solutions will prevail.
Ai will be a force for good but we have to focus on how and when we use it.
The 4 Day work week was a fascinating and energetic discussion and had sustainability running through it, from the obvious travelling benefits but also our digital lives and how we communicate and connect our teams. Digital Sustainability rears its head again and shows its not just websites and Ai, but very much engrained in our daily lives and habits.
People Planet Pint hosted by our friend and agency partner Aub Wallace was an amazing follow up to day one of Reset Connect and was a hive of energy and positive conversation. You can’t help but be inspired to do more and do better when listening to creative and passionate people talk about the impact they are making.
Our Takeaways from Climate Action Week are that we’ve evolved from just measuring carbon footprints and planting trees, which left us a little flat from last time. We’re tackling the challenges head-on and developing practical solutions that are fixing the problem, rather than just measuring and mitigating the outcome. Ai has its part to play if we use it properly and there’s a mass of people that want this to happen.
